Customer Owned & Managed Devices
Residents can use third-party approved internet equipment (cable modem/gateway) instead of leasing an Xfinity Gateway. Keep in mind, there are advantages to using an Xfinity Gateway, including access to value-added services with Xfinity, like our WiFi management platform and usage of a home-based Xfinity WiFi hotspot.
Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON)
EPON allows Xfinity to deliver Fiber-to-the-Unit connectivity and support symmetrical upload/download speeds. Residents who live in EPON properties will not be able to bring their own device/modem.
Residents can enjoy all the entertainment they love with the Xfinity Stream app, and start watching in minutes on their Xumo Stream Box from Xfinity.
